"was mich reizte, war das zusammentreffen einer historisch gewordenen fortbewegungsart mit einem konzept fortgeschrittener akustischer kunst. es ist akustik, die nicht im studio oder an einem anderen fixen punkt aufgenommen wurde, sondern im  zustande andauernder mobilität, über datums-, zeit-, jahreszeiten-, klima- & geografische grenzen hinweg. die anachronistische langsamkeit der reise & die extreme länge des zurückzulegenden weges haben bewirkt, dass ich mein ziel, australien, zusammen mit mir selber, d. h. ohne trennung des körpers von der seele, was das auch immer sei, erreicht habe."
